Erasmus+ is the EU’s programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe, providing opportunities for over 4 million Europeans to study, train, gain experience, and volunteer abroad. Set to last until 2020, Erasmus+ doesn’t just have opportunities for students. Merging seven prior programmes, it has opportunities for a wide variety of individuals and organisations.
Main competences of the programme: recognition and validation of educational competences and qualifications; projects outcomes dissemination; open access to educational materials, to media documents and tools created within the programme; international dimension (EU member countries cooperation in education, training, youth and sport); multi language education; equity and inclusion; protection and safety for all participants.
Main objectives of ERASMUS+ programme:
- Help students to take advantage of study experiences in a foreign European in terms of education, language and culture;
- Promote institutional collaboration and enhance educational environment for host institutions;
- Contribute to qualified young professionals generation that benefit from international experience and worldwide networks
- Facilitate ETCS (or compatible credit systems) transfer and mobility periods recognitions
